 Our Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the wild rose bush (Rosa rubiginosa), most common in Chile's southern Andes. Pure, cold-pressed rosehip seed oil has an earthy and pungent spicy herbal aroma that is naturally orange to reddish in color and a slightly viscous consistency.
 
 For centuries, the Andean Indians of Chile have used the nourishing and anti-inflammatory properties of rosehip seed oil in their traditional skin and hair care regimens. Rosehip seed oil has a unique nutrient profile rich in omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids and is a good choice for hydrating and rejuvenating skin.
 
 The main property that distinguishes our rosehip oil (from Rosa Rubiginosa) from the more commercially available, Rosa Canina, is the miraculously active trans-retinoic acid, also known as tretinoin (about 0.357 ml / l). It is the main bioactive component of Rosehip Oil (by Rosa Rubiginosa) and has all sorts of magical powers, including tissue repair and regeneration, wrinkle reduction, acne relief, and even pore size reduction. It is a natural derivative of vitamin A that helps the skin regenerate and produce new epidermal cells  of the epidermis.
